Modifications
The Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 has been modified in several ways using genuine Royal Enfield Enfield accessories and also some quality aftermarket parts.
Deluxe Footpegs
A must have upgrade. Makes it more comfortable to ride and allows to put your feet in different positions. I have the pillion ones as well but haven't installed them yet.
Not hard to install. You'll need some good circlip pliers - and make sure it doesn't fly off!
Sumpguard
Not really necessary if you aren't going off road but I liked the look of it on the bike. Doesn't stop the area getting dirty though and makes it a bit harder to clean.
Bit of a fiddly install job so if you can get the bike off the floor to install it will make it easier. Two man job to do the long bolt through the frame.
Handlebar Clamp
Comes in black or silver. I decided on silver to match the handlebar clamp it attaches to. I like it although if you want to mount a mobile phone it takes up the useful space in the middle so probably not for you.
Easy install if you have a couple of clamps to hold the handlebars so they don't drop when you undo the bolts.
Long Haul Panniers
Came on the bike when I purchased it. Very useful to have though a bit of an awkward shape to store larger items in.
They certainly look the best out of the options for panniers and a sleek but the black scratches easily.
Windshield
Came on the bike from the dealer. I was going to take it off but it is very useful at keeping weather and bugs off you.
Not the hardest to install from the looks of it.
Touring Seat
I haven't experienced the standard Super Meteor seat but the one on the Shotgun is similar. This is very comfy I find and looks nice.
DNA Air Filter
Easy to install Air Filter that replaces the OEM plastic snorkel as well.
Gives improved throttle response and slightly fuller sounding noise.
Oil Cap
Comes in black or silver. Not much to it just a bit better looking than the standard one.
Easy to install.
USB Adaptor
A must have for the Super Meteor or Shotgun as the USB location as standard is ridiculous.
This was from Hitchcock's Motorcycles and is easy to install and utilizes the spare accessory port in the back of the headlight unit.
